bica is home to an ever-growing community of food lovers, creators and friends who huddle on a bustling Adams Avenue patio for good vibes and good meals; California-fresh cuisine, borne in the spirit of San Diego’s tuna fishing community and served in a space inspired by the tempo and culture of a modern-day European cafe.

Located in the heart of San Diego’s historic Normal Heights neighborhood, bica is the culinary brainchild of San Diego natives Manny Da Luz and Charlie Knowles.

The team’s second location, Butcher’s Plate, a meat-forward rotisserie house serving ethically-sourced, seasonally-rotating proteins and farm fresh produce, opened in January 2024.
